I find it interesting — no, amazing — that Kathy Hall’s recent letter to the editor in defense of oil and gas activities states, “… regulations currently in place …. have allowed America’s oil and natural gas companies to deliver clean energy to Americans with little impact on the environment, wildlife and wildlife habitats.”
All one needs to do to refute her comment is to drive the Interstate 70 corridor and view the scarring and devastation caused by the labyrinth of roads and well pads, along with the dust and smog generated by the hundreds of daily truck trips required to sustain the operation. If that isn’t enough evidence to the contrary, I would like to see The Daily Sentinel publish more aerial photos of the industrial zone that Ms. Hall refers to as “wildlife habitats.”
