I liked the story on the front page of The Daily Sentinel about the police officers stopping people for running red lights. What I found interesting was the fact that my husband and I were sitting at a red light on 27 Road and Highway 50, there was a police officer sitting at the light on Highway 50 and watched a blue truck run the red light.

Are we sending mixed messages? Or is it OK to run red lights on Orchard Mesa without giving tickets? No wonder everyone things Highway 50 is the Daytona 500 and runs red lights, and we have lots of accidents out here.

Let’s do some critical thinking on this subect.I heard that they have photo ticket capabilities available. You speed, run a red light, or what ever and they send you a ticket. They could place them along with those speed indicators trailers. Instead of holding card board signs at intersections they could go out and do some real work. A police Aux. person could sit in a modular trailer monitoring this stuff. So when they come to ask us to Bond a new police station we could get something else to actually decrease law brakers.
