This is my honest opinion of what is really behind the New York Times story about John McCain that exploded on the country the morning of Feb. 21. I’m positive it has the energy of the fires set in Colorado several years ago. And like the fire, will gain in strength and leave major destruction and disaster that will take decades of recovery.

The motive of the Colorado arsonists is hard to comprehend and the damage that occurred probable far exceeded their intent. The motive of these political arsonists looks to be totally missed by the media pundits on the cable networks. Actually they don’t even seem to recognize anything. Just legitimate journalism that provides them with 24/7 programming. And if I’m right, the media all across the country (print, radio, TV and Internet) will keep pouring fuel on the fire and bring about the results that I believe are the actual goals of the New York Times.

I’m an old man (75). I’ll probably cross my fingers and vote in November, and admittedly, for the Republican candidate. But I don’t actually find any of the three probable candidates to have acceptable qualifications to be president. I doubt that any one of the three could get elected to be governor of their state in 2008. And there’s a real question weather any of the three could even secure their party’s nomination to run for governor. That’s who I am. No fantastic credentials, but I see this as one of those times when the media can’t see the forest for the trees. The media will play their flute loud and long and could just “Pied Piper” the country into a sea of disaster. A story “Stranger Than Fiction”.

NOW FOR MY THEORY:

The Times really wants Obama elected President. I actually do not know if they have actually endorsed him. I’m pretty certain they have endorsed McCain for the Republican Candidate – And I’m convinced they would never support any Republican in the November Election – Not even if their qualifications were fantastic in comparison to the Democrat. I’m also convinced they would like to effect an near Deathblow to the Republican Party if possible.

HOW DO THEY ALMOST GURANTEE THEY GET THE RESULTS THE WANT?

Pick a Republican you don’t consider a strong candidate and do what you can to help him get the Nomination. Plan on using this story to destroy him at a strategic point to assure his defeat – And at the same time cause controversy that will help Democrats throughout the country in House and Senate Races. There is no question that McCain would have been a goner had they put this story on the street before the New Hampshire Primary.

The Times likely believed the best time to release the story would come during the actual campaign later this year. Then the “Stars of Change” aligned and presented an opportunity they couldn’t have hoped for in their wildest dreams.

McCain has the Republican Nomination locked up early and that has caused considerable disruption in the Republican Party.

Hillary has proven venerable – But she keeps getting up before the Ten Count – And there is some Indication that she may finally draw enough attention to Obama’s obvious experience deficit and be able to maneuver the Supper Delegates and perhaps the Florida and Michigan Unseated Delegates to capture the nomination.

“What a Fabulous Opportunity”. Release the story and toss the Republicans into a state of “Complete Confusion” – McCain in the position of attempting to answer a “When Did You Quit Beating Your Wife” question – The Party consumed with trying to figure our if they can even go forward with McCain as their Candidate at the expense of every other Republican that is trying to get elected anywhere.

And the final Lottery Jackpot – The story sucks all the air out of the Media and totally scuttles Hillary’s last chance to get enough coverage to turn things in her favor. She was probably already dead – This will just pound the Nails in her coffin.

A plan you could only hope for by “Selling your soul to the Devil”. A Hollywood Story no one would believe. Hang in there SUCKERS – The roads going to get rough – This isn’t the CHANGE you want.

    C. O. writes: “And like the fire, will gain in strength and leave major destruction and disaster that will take decades of recovery.”
—- The fire storm has been sucking the air out of America for the past 7 disastrous years of the Bush administration. The Republican raping of America through record deficits, 6 billion dollars a month on the calamitous Bush Iraq war, Republicans, one after another indicted and convicted on corruption charges, recession and erosion of our Constitution are indeed going to take America decades to recover from.

    C. O. writes: “The Times really wants Obama elected President.
—- Wrong! Get informed before making such silly Rush Limbaugh statements. The NYT endorsed Mrs. Clinton. Why would they endorse her if it was Mr. Obama who they wanted to be “elected President”? Your conspiracy theory fails all logic.

    C. O. writes: “There is no question that McCain would have been a goner had they put this story on the street before the New Hampshire Primary.”
—- Too funny. You can’t have it both ways. Either the report is legitimate or it is not. If it is not legitimate, then it would not have made McCain a “goner”. If it is legitimate then your theory of a hack job on McCain fails.

    C. O. writes: “McCain has the Republican Nomination locked up early and that has caused considerable disruption in the Republican Party.” and ” Pick a Republican you don’t consider a strong candidate and do what you can to help him get the Nomination.”
—- Gee, wasn’t it REPUBLICANS who gave McCain the nomination? You must believe that the NYT has supernatural powers to make so many R’s vote for McCain. No, I believe that Republicans are finally realizing how the far right wing of their party is destroying it. The extremists, over the past few years, have usurped much of the party policies which are being rejected by the vast majority of Americans. The sane R’s are now realizing it and rightly figure if they want to remain a viable party in America they will defiantly have to tack to the center and isolate the looney extremists of the Republican Party.

Dear e u, your last sentence says:

“The sane R’s are now realizing it and rightly figure if they want to remain a viable party in America they will defiantly have to tack to the center and isolate the looney extremists of the Republican Party.”

Do you have the same requirement for the looney extremists on the far left in your party?

We have known for years that there are very few sane “l’s” in your party, just a bunch of trash like teddy kennedy. Yu know, the drunk that murdered a senate aide because she was pregnant and it would screw his chances of remaining a politician. If it hadn’t been for kennedy political and financial power in Massachusetts, he would have been held accountable for her death, but it was (mostly) covered up.

The stories of slimeballs in YOUR party could extend to nearly all democrats in both houses for the last 40 years.

That’s the type of people YOU support, which tells me a lot about YOUR personal value system.

If your girlfriend gets pregnant, you would much rather murder her than take a chance on her telling YOUR wife, RIGHT eu?

Johnson just proved my point. Loons like Johnson are the Democrats best friends. They show Americans how wacky the far right of the Republican Party are.

    TYPICAL, No FACTS.
    NO DETAILS.

Just name calling. The last resort of weak positions and no intelligence to fall back on.

“loon”? That’s the best you have to offer?

That’s not even 1st grade creative.

    Want respect?

    EARN IT with facts.

Name calling only expresses your level of intelligence.

Here are some facts from the Bush years for the looney Johnson to chew on:

    Convicted Republican Congressman Duke Cunningham
    Convicted Republican Congressman Bob Ney
Convicted Republican Cheney flunky Scooter Libby
Convicted Republican National Committee Regional Director James Tobin
Convicted Republican Bush Domestic Policy Advisor Claude Allen
Convicted Republican Pervert Senator Larry Craig
Convicted Republican Pervert Homeland Security Bush flunky Brian Doyle
Convicted Republican Bush FDA Commissioner Lester Crawford
Convicted Republican Lobbyist Italia Federici who is now providing information against Bush Interior Secretary Gale Norton
Republican Congressman Mark Foley, you know, the one caught soliciting children for sex.
All the Convicted Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff people…what? 9 or 10 convicted so far?
    Indicted Republican Congressman Tom DeLay
Indicted Republican Congressman (support your local terrorist) Mark Siljander
And this past week Republican Congressman and John McCain campaign chairman Rick Renzi was indicted on charges of extortion, wire fraud and money laundering.

Chew on them thar facts crusty Johnson. My fingers are tired from typing about all these Republican criminals. If you need more examples of Republican corruption, just ask.
