Why should I be surprised when President Bush fails to follow through on his promises? Take his proposal during his State of the Union address that Congress allow our brave men and women in the military to transfer their unused education benefits to members of their family.

A week later, he submitted his proposed federal budget to Congress, but (oops!) there was no mention of funding for that excellent plan. It seems that proposal was added by the president at the last minute and there was no time to determine the costs.

I am appalled that support for our military should be a “last minute” idea.

But Margaret, jimmy carter destroyed the military capabilities of this nation.
    Ronald Reagan rebuilt the military.
bill clinton cut the military by 35%, closed bases, ignored the terrorist threat, and left it for somebody els to deal with.
Sold military secrets to china for personal and political gain that allowed china to put satellites into orbit, endangering OUR country.
harry reid declared the war on terror lost for political reasons and directly caused the death of American Service personnel.
nancy pelosi, for political reasons has continuously derided our military and encouraged the radical extremist terrorists.

And this is the best argument you have against President Bush?

Why not complain about his out spending the entire democratic parties best efforts for the last 60 years?

How about his pushing for a borderless North America?

How about his pushing for amnesty for people in this country ILLEGALLY?

How about BOTH parties providing businesses with low wage earners through lax enforcement of immigration laws, thereby destroying the ability of the AMERICAN CITIZEN to earn a reasonable wage in THEIR OWN COUNTRY?

Why not fuss about the economic treason the federal government has committed solely for political gain. That includes both parties.

Why not ask your congress person if he/she has ever read the CONSTITUTION and the BILL OF RIGHTS, and have them explain why the 10th Amendment is irrelevant to them?

I am assuming that YOU have read and UNDERSTAND the CONSTITUTION, and not the politically correct synopsis of that document.

Hey, Willis, get a life. Ms. Cooper knows far more than you will ever know about our government, or, apparently more than you are capable of learning.

  3. Willis Leon Johnson

oh, John B said the following:

“Hey, Willis, get a life. Ms. Cooper knows far more than you will ever know about our government, or, apparently more than you are capable of learning.”

And offers no proof other than his personal opinion.

DEFINITELY not a well educated position to take John B.

But typical of those with no knowledge of history, just political claptrap.

If you would desire to offer a well-reasoned debate, I am up to that.

If it’s going to be more of the same “blithering idiot” diatribes, don’t expect to be treated with respect, either for you, or your positions.

Now, go read the Constitution and make yourself smarter.
