As to Sen. Salazar saying that the people of Colorado are happy with his status quo with regard to FISA, well, I and many more like me are not!

Does he think that there are that many people in the government sitting around listening to all of our phone calls? Does he think that we have stupid stamped on our forehead? I like many others have served in the military (1955 to 1968). We weren’t that happy about the war but we were told that our freedom and the freedom of others were at stake, so we did our best. At that time Al Gore had not invented the Internet and computers were the size of a barn, I know because I was in on that technology at the time.

And what about cell phones? If all these things were as they are today FISA would have been written different, and what about tomorrow, technology will change again and are we to keep FISA the same as yesterday? The federal government doesn’t care if you are making a date with someone’s wife or calling your mom to say happy birthday! All they want to do is save your life, mine life and the people of the USA.
