Why seniors want a recreation center

Why do I want a community recreation center in Fruita?

I want it because it would be a place a family can do things together. It would be a place I can visit with people my age. It is a place I can go to walk on the indoor walkway without going to the mall when the weather is bad. It is a place I can get together with other friends for different senior functions such as dinners and dancing.

Seniors have special rates. Families have special rates. There are punch cards, which save on fees. Seniors use their kitchen and meeting room for free. I definitely will vote yes on Issue A.

    Chuck, have you ever tried to have a dance in a small 1500 sq ft area. Don’t be fooled the Seniors are getting the short end of the stick on this deal. Besides the lower Valley Seniors are building a 7,000 sq ft Senior Center taht will be free to both seniors and tax payers. So why would you want to pay higher taxes? Vote No on A
