Gee, a politician that just can't seem to remember his campaign promises.

What a new concept in government.

The division of wildlife keeps running ads that brag about all the good they do without spending a dime of taxpayer money.

Here's a new concept for the bureaucrats to chew on.

ANY TIME MONEY(regardless of label) FLOWS FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR TO THE PUBLIC SECTOR, IT IS A TAX.

A "fee" (user or any other label) is a TAX.

If you are required to PAY for a permit it IS A TAX.

If you are required to PAY for a LICENSE, it IS A TAX.(even if it is a hunting or fishing license)

If money flows from your pocket to the government coffers, and you do not receive a tangible asset, you just paid a TAX.

If you build a house and pay a TAP FEE, you pay a TAX.

ritter is a democrat, bill clinton is a democrat. What is the definition of "is" anyway?

The next BALLOT initiative should be something along the lines of

Violation of campaign promises without solid, LEGAL reasons should be a felony criminal offense with mandatory hard labor, prison time in the same prisons murderers and rapist get to attend.

Another should provide a provision for retracting a persons vote for any candidate if that candidate fails to live up to expectations based on campaign promises.

After all, if they get to change their minds after the election, we should be able to also.
