It is time to eliminate the Middle East from the equation. Develop dual-fule hybrids and bio- diesel. The government can provide tax incentives and more funding for research and development.
We need to develop an effective mass-transit system. We are falling further and further behind the rest of the world in dollars spent. Our next $109 million should be spent on mass transit and not on more bypasses.
If our population increases according to recent predictions, our pollution problem will make Denver’s look pale. By adopting effective political policies we can improve our economy and environment while most importantly saving American lives.

I agree Chris,
We really should develop more bio fuels, especially since it take 29% more hydrocarbon produced energy to produce the ethanol, than the ethanol is capable of producing when it’s burned.
What other government funded projects can you think of that will cost more in energy that it provides and such a ridiculous cost to the American Taxpayer.
I do have one little spark of an idea, GROUND algores plane someplace without communications with the outside world.
