It’s a shame that the Community.GJSentinel.com has become a vastly expanded “You Said It”. I would have hoped it could be a place for the expression of intelligent discussion and evaluation of ideas but it seems to have become a place to insult and defame others for no apparent reason other than to see ones name in print.
There are thousands of partisan blogs I can access if I want to read things supporting my beliefs or tarring and feathering those who believe otherwise. The obvious answer is too just not read some of the drivel showing up but it does discourage readers to see such predictable abuse of free speech by the same suspects, over and over again.
They are free to do it and I am free disregard the section as a worthy experiment descending into the lowest common denominator of local “thought.”

But John,
We need you here to voice your opinion and present your positions.
I would sincerely enjoy debating you on the theory of evolution.
Why you think killing the unborn is a good thing.
Why you like to spend other peoples money on Unconstitutional programs.
And a whole host of other failed liberal democrat ideas payed for with tax money taken from the American worker at the point of a gun, and the threat of imprisonment.

JB must work for the Sentinel. He has more letters than the regular reporters do—-and they get printed even when he has nothing to say!

Dear John:
I am sorry that some recent posts may have offended your sensibiities on what the GJ Community Comments have, it your eyes, become. Regretably, I was not aware that you or anyone of the other “regular” commentors were the moral arbiters of what is, and isn’t, appropriate for this venue (i.e., putdowns on typing/spelling errors, IQ, etc.)
By and large a lot of the regulars and we DO (capitalization for emphasis mine) know who “they” are have a disproportionately large and profoundly limited perspective on some of the issues that they comment on. Opinion mine. The comments sections is really a venue for the thickskinned. Your comment history has its own unique slant-so does Mr. Johnson, and so does mine. I believe that you should deal with these realities and accept that not everyone may believe in your approach and, by default, confer upon you the role of the conscience of this comment section.
Willing to continue in the IV-seeable future to Flog-your-Bottoms too!
