Let's see, where have we heard this type of comment before;

"This is forever, folks! These lands will never, not in our lifetime nor our grand kid’s lifetimes, ever be restored to their natural state where we can enjoy them as they are now."

Oh yes, now I remember, After the movie "The Last of the Mohicans" starring Daniel Day Lewis came out, the touchy feely types spent a lot of airtime bragging about how wonderful the "old growth forest" movie location was, and how heartbreaking it would be for it to be cut down by evil timber companies.

When the evil timber company that actually owns the "old growth forest" explained that the area had been clearcut 20 years previous, everybody shut up and went home quietly.

Yup Karl, it's forever. Well.... maybe 20 years or so forever.

Or maybe, 5 years forever.... or two years forever.

Or maybe until the echoes of your refrain dies down forever.

Maybe I should take you hunting in places where drilling has gone on for 30+ years and let you point out the destruction to me.
