Oliver, I did respond to your ideas, the spelling thing was just an added bonus.

I do hope that you were not to terribly offended.

:)

On a side note, sometimes the voice recognition software doesn't always grasp the mechanical voice device. And correcting it just isn't worth the effort at the time.

But thank you for keeping me on my toes.

Ya know, sometimes it's just way to easy.

#7 is just a weak personal attack based solely on poor math skills on your part.

Now read this very carefully...

"Army Suicides Highest in 26 Years"

carter left office in January, 1981.

This is April, 2008

so 2008
  -1981
  -----
    ?

You do the math.

I thought you used spell check Willis. 'embecile' however is not a word. I only bring this up since you attacked me (rather than my ideas, attacking the person seems you MO) for a mis-spelling. Pot calling Wilted Johnson Black

Good one, Willis! Heres some factual data for ya:

Army Suicides Highest in 26 Years

By PAULINE JELINEK
The Associated Press
Thursday, August 16, 2007; 2:54 AM

WASHINGTON -- Army soldiers committed suicide last year at the highest rate in 26 years, and more than a quarter did so while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to a new military report.

The report, obtained by The Associated Press ahead of its scheduled release Thursday, found there were 99 confirmed suicides among active duty soldiers during 2006, up from 88 the previous year and the highest number since the 102 suicides in 1991 at the time of the Persian Gulf War.

"The point of my post is factual data.

The reasons more Service Men and Women died from suicides, etc was because under carter[OR DO YOU MEAN BUSH?], they knew they could be sent into combat with no back up, supplies, weaponry that worked, and they would die for no reason."

Good one willis.

You can "suppose" all day long and it won't get you any smarter.

Certainly not to defend and protect the country they enlisted to SERVE.

The supposed point of your original post, willis, was that there were more military deaths under Carter than Bush, thus justifying your man-crush on our fearless leader, and your vitriolic hate for poor ol' Jimmy. The numbers you left out from Reagan and Clinton years show your argument to be weak at best. Use a little common sense and look at some other numbers like homicide and car wrecks, and your argument is just plain pitiful. Nothing new, cherry-picking numbers and spinning them to justify the man-crush has been the m.o. of the wing-nuts for many years now.

troll (plural trolls)

An instance of trolling, especially, in fishing, the trailing of a baited line.
(Internet) A person who posts to a newsgroup, bulletin board, etc., in a way intended to anger other posters and to cause drama, or otherwise disrupt the group's intended purpose.
(Internet) A deliberately inflammatory post to a newsgroup, etc.

Golly, yer such an impressive embecile sometimes.

The link I provided:

http://siadapp.dmdc.osd.mil/personnel/CASUALTY/OIF-Deaths-After.pdf

Is the link to the actual government document.

Incidentally, the military was larger BEFORE the peanut farmer from Georgia.

Once again, a Republican President needed to REBUILD the military to defend this nation.

As far as the snopes link, I am aware of the email currently making the rounds.
I didn't use rumors, but real government data from the actual document.

Stop proving how uninformed you are.

Wow, willis, Bush is so AWESOME! Too bad you just can't make him king!
Now, for those of you who care, here's the rest of the story: http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/deaths.asp

Seems that the shrub ain't so great after all. There is even more to the story, of course, including a couple simple facts: the military was ALOT bigger in 1980, (willis loves that one, makes it easy to say "Clintons Fault!") homicide rates for young men peaked in the early eighties, and so did car crash/drunk driving deaths. Carter's incompetence did not include running our military over a cliff or, more aptly, into quicksand.
