Your comments gave me some insights into your character. You talk about ridicule, then you proceed directly into a rant ridiculing the current office holders, which I presume by your own words, you admire, or could I be wrong about that John. You really should try to practice what you preach. Since you referred to Mr. Kearsley as Dave, I presume you are a friend of his, therefore I presume that you speak for him, as you will find that it was to him my question was addressed. As for how long I have lived here, my family has been here for four generations. No John, that is not an argument,it is a fact, and I have gained a clear understanding of the wants and needs of Mesa County. I have lived through hundreds of candidates who come here one day and think they know what we need the next. I helped build the 5th street bridge that you drive over. The contractor was R. H. Andrene out of Denver. I helped build Morrow Point and Blue Mesa Dams that protect you from floods. The contractor was Johnson, Morrison, Knutson, and Tecon, respectively. I was here for the boom and bust of the uranium industry. I worked on a rig at Piceance Creek in the 60's. I picked fruit when I was young and worked in the Ice House, located near the old Depot. I was here when Patterson Road was the main Highway. There was no North Ave., when Huckabee's was the largest grocer in town. I helped build the city jail that they say needs replacement now. I don't expect these things to mean anything to you. It is obvious that you have your own agenda, and just one more question, this time for you. If Mr. Kearsley is elected, will you still be answering questions in his place? Good luck in the elections, John.

I know, but look at the attitude.

Knows everything with little knowledge and no experience.

Personally, I think he's no more than 23, still living at home, and both his parents are tenured teachers.

That's the only group I know of that can throw facts away if they don't support what they want.

Teachers unions DO NOT WANT the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, or any other founding documents taught in schools.

Knowledge would undermine their ability to shove socialism down the throats of their students.

Now Willis.... no mudslinging on the teens of the grand valley either. You have no proof that E U is a teen! and frankly, you know better. =0) They are probibly full grown and considered an "mature adult" by those who surrond them. That is, until they open thier mouth.

troll (plural trolls)

An instance of trolling, especially, in fishing, the trailing of a baited line.
(Internet) A person who posts to a newsgroup, bulletin board, etc., in a way intended to anger other posters and to cause drama, or otherwise disrupt the group's intended purpose.
(Internet) A deliberately inflammatory post to a newsgroup, etc.

e u, did you get your homework done yet?

Or are you still playing with wishes?

Mrs Rowland leave a lot to be desired as a "republican" that she pretends to be, but your label is hardly accurate, or intellectually honest on your part.

Having talked with Mr.Kearsley at length before he finally decided to run I know that it is precisely his intention to listen to all sides that drives his candidacy. The incumbent candidates apparent favoritism of the energy industry in land use issues, in fact, drove Dave's decision to run. The inclusion of the worn-out nativist east vs west, "newcomer" argument is no argument at all. How do you know that Dave didn't precede your arrival here, Chuck, and what does it matter? Anybody willing to stand for office and put up with inane letters like this is to be admired, not ridiculed as an ignorant interloper. There is a problem with the current commissioners attitude that it is their personal fiefdom to run as they please and fresh faces and ideas are badly needed.
