To the City Council of Fruita: You wish to know the problem with the past ballot issue? I will tell you.
It has nothing to do with misleading information. It has nothing to do with the recreation center.
It does have to do with the fact that the majority of people in Fruita are living from paycheck to paycheck, facing rising food prices, rising medical cost, rising gas prices and a City Council that wants to raise taxes. And why? For a product that the major majority of us will not use.
All we need is a couple of unnecessary roundabouts and we can call ourselves Fruita Junction.

To Mr. Richardson: If you don’t support the rec center, vote no.
I’m not sure where you live in Fruita, but you may want to drive around town if you think that “the majority of the people in Fruita are living paycheck to paycheck”. There are many new housing developments that the house are priced between $250,000 and $500,000. Those folks aren’t “paycheck to paycheck” kind of people.
