I must commend the churches in the valley for their Sharefest project. It would be equally commendable if the Canyon View Vineyard Church would extend this largesse to its neighbors by moving the 15 telephone poles erected for a zip line to another location on its large property, rather than placing them directly behind single-family homes.
The current location is so close to houses that privacy is compromised and the noise resulting from a zip line will be unavoidable. It is also a concern that this facility will be an inviting site for non-authorized users.
It is a shame that Canyon View Vineyard Church did not take the opportunity to discuss this project with the neighbors immediately next to the zip line. As no building permit was obtained for this project, it is hoped that this oversight will be treated in the same manner in which other non-permit projects are handled.
There is ample space on the Canyon View Vineyard Church property which extends from I-70 to G Road, to erect this project. Closer to the corner of G Road and 24 1/2 near the roundabout seems more appropriate and would be away from any homes.
Up to this point, Canyon View Vineyard Church has been a good neighbor. It would nice to have it continue in that direction.

But, remember: the taller the pole, the closer to heaven….

This thread has not had enough attention paid to it.
Therefore, since I seem to draw people to wherever I appear I’m going to draw attention to it.
Here we have a Ms Nancy Miller complaining that a property owner did what the property owner felt was the best use of their property and resources.
Since Churches are subsidized wholly by the local congregation, and in some cases, by a regional or national parent Church, what would be the best for the neighbors is not necessarily the best for the Church.
For instance, the Church may be interested in future development where Ms Miller thinks the zip line should go.
Is Ms Miller willing to place an amount equal to the future cost of moving the line into escrow?
And now, to bounce slightly of topic.
“Two wolves
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, ‘My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all.
One is Evil.
It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good.
It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.’
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
‘Which wolf wins?’
The old Cherokee simply replied, ‘The one you feed.’”
So folks, stop feeding the wrong wolf.
Have a fun day.

You flatter yourself. The people are there and then you show up. Roland hit the nail on the head when he described it as “trolling”.

John, yer such a predictable little feller ain’t ya?
I said people follow me wherever I go, and POOF!!! There ya are with your typical obnoxious, ignorant rants.
Now, how close to “on topic” was your post?
How intelligent do you feel for showing up and whining?
And what’s with the name calling “trolling”?
Does that fit into the topic of this thread?
Which wolf are you feeding by expressing your negative attitude?
