Putting aside that Bernie Buescher voted to allow full-grown men in the girls’ bathroom, I am upset about the fact that Buescher showed up and put on a good show in front of the business community during a recent oil and gas commission hearing, and now, is already back-peddling and playing more politics with the oil and gas rules.
The only reason Buescher showed up at the commission hearing is because he received a letter with over 200 local non-industry business leaders who called him out on rubber stamping the rules, voting for the now illegal mill-levy freeze and choosing to run for speaker instead of supporting his constituents.
Just one week after criticizing the commission, now Buescher is playing both sides praising the gas commission on their latest political stunt which tries to dupe the business community into thinking that rule “clarifications” are suffiicient.
I give Mr. Buescher credit for being an astute politician and pandering the business folks at the hearing last week. But, I would rather us elect someone more like Rep. Steve King or Sen. Josh Penry, who actually lead instead of simply stick a finger in the wind when there are 2,000 gas workers and business owners in the room.
