So the local operations manager of a trucking company boasts, “we’ve already got an industrial zoning on the property when it comes down to it.” In other words, who cares what the City Council of Grand Junction has to say about minimizing industrial pollution along the river? We’re keeping what we want.
The rest of us know that Grand Junction is blessed to be located in such a beautiful valley along the banks of one of the most stunning rivers in the country. Has this neighbor heard what all is in the river waters that recently rose in Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri?
It is a noble thing when a community decides to clean up and protect its waterways. It is a sad situation when any individual or company chooses to assume an uncooperative attitude. Such immature behavior ends up mindlessly blocking progress on an already difficult community project.
We are equipped with minds capable of rethinking old decisions. In this case, Mr. Russ Justice, the time is right for you and Brady Trucking Co. to “lead, follow or get out of the way.”

Indicating that you know best Bill?
Prior to Brady Trucking purchasing the property, it was for sale on the open market.
You chose not to invest YOUR money into this area, but now feel the urge to tell others how to use THEIR property?
If you did not want the property in question to be used in any manner than you choose, perhaps your should have stepped up to the plate earlier and bought the property yourself?
