I keep reading about what uninformed people are saying about Sarah Palin, and how she is not qualified to lead this country. But they never say that Barack Obama is.
Here, on one hand, we have a person that has been a mayor of a city — big or small, still a city. Also a governor of a state. Big or small, again, who cares, still a governor.
On the other hand, we have a person who has never governed a town, big or small, or a state, big or small. But this person has been in the Senate for about two years and has not introduced a bill or any legislation with that persons name on the top.
Now, not knowing who did what to booster his or her resume, who would you think is more qualified to govern this country?

I have known Mr. Tranchina for years, and we have often spoken on many topics. But, it would seem that the gentleman has forgotten of his own experiences with Delta City Government, in particular the current city manager and the denigrating comments to which he was subject at the hands of that individual. He might also consider that making decisions is not the only thing to consider. His candidate is one who took over a small town with no debt, and left it with a 22 million dollar liability, that after constructing a 15 million dollar recreation center. And while his candidate now decries ‘pork’, it would seem that she was not left behind in her efforts to obtain ‘her’ part. Mr. Tranchina may wish to recall what happened to his own city, Delta, and construction of a golf course it could little afford, a sports complex (supposedly for ‘the children),a recreation center for which ALL of the people of Delta are still paying, and all projects for which the people of his city will keep paying, as far as the eye can see. Mr. Tranchina might consider examining the ‘resume’ of his candidate in considerably more depth prior to canonizing the individual as ‘fit to govern’. He might also wish to read the book “The Peter Principle”, and there obtain a perspective he does not seem to now possess.

Mr. Trachina, Barack Obama has been a productive Illinois State Senator and U.S. Senator. Among the bills he has sponsored are federal bills for higher standards of veterans’ health care, decreasing lobbyists’ power in Washington, preventing nuclear terrorism, and increasing gas mileage standards; and Illinois State senate bills for: improving campaign finance regulations, expanding the childrens’ health care system, and making welfare programs more efficient.
Sarah Palin may have governed; but is she a leader who understands the issues and has good judgment? She has already referred to the Iraq War in religious terms and showed disturbing cluelessness on foreign policy issues, as well as lying about the Bridge to Nowhere, etc. Right now she’s being kept sheltered from press at events because she might say something damaging.
Meanwhile, Obama was right on the Iraq War at the start, and saw the need to restore regulation of Wall Street over a year ago.
