Seven homes, 13 cars, a $30,000 outfit. What image does that bring to mind? For me it is definitely not one of our next president.

When I found out that McCain owned 7 homes and 13 cars, while his wife, Cindy McCain, wore a $30,000 dollar outfit, I instantly looked down at my $10 jeans, while standing in my parent’s 1,300-square-foot house for which they have worked their entire lives and still have not paid off.
I was lucky enough to attend the Obama rally with my mom and brother. The smile that came from seeing him speak quickly wore off my mother’s face when arriving home to find the disastrous news on Wall Street.

My mom and dad have worked their entire lives to put my family into a comfortable lifestyle. My mom put herself through nursing school while raising four children under the age of seven, while my dad built a landscaping business from the ground up. My mom’s face filled with terror as she watched the news of the crash. She was terrified that the money she had worked so hard to save for retirement would be gone.

I’m not sure about your family, but I do know there are so many families struggling just like mine. With two kids in college, a mortgage, energy cost, and a grocery bill, my parents find themselves struggling week to week.

McCain, a man with 7 homes, 13 cars, and a wife who can afford to wear a $30,000 outfit, is no way connected to the people who can barely afford one home, a car, or let alone the gas to fill it up.
I honestly believe that Barack Obama is in touch with families like yours and mine. Obama, unlike John McCain, only owns one home and comes from a modest single parent home, he put himself through college much like my mother did on student loans and a part time job.

I am guessing that this person, using this philosophy, did not vote for Gore or Kerry. Her logic could be used to reward dictators for human rights.
