No more stinkin’ taxes or funding. This November’s ballot is packed with a slew of tax schemes. On this ballot there are initiatives, a mill-levy increase, sales-tax hikes, TABOR manipulation and aggressive business tampering/tax ballot issues.
We are bailing out people who bought what they can’t afford from greedy financial institutions who funded it (at times under pressure from Democratic-promoted community activist groups like ultra left wing ACORN). Now we are gong to bailout the aforementioned greedy institutions. I’m really tired of government nickel-and-dime sniveling, pandering, whining and our new socialism.
If ever there was a time to tell the self-serving government money sponges no more taxes at all levels in every way, this time on this ballot is the way. Just do it.

One might wish to ask the original letter writer, and those who believe as he does when, if ever, they will recognize and admit to their obligations of citizenship or, as they so freqently do, blame everyone else, not only for all the ills of society, including their own. And, the first one is not only to inform oneself, but sufficiently that one understands issues.
In his letter, and wishing to blame Democrats for the state of the financial system, the gentleman makes the following statement: “at times under pressure from Democratic-promoted community activist groups like ultra left wing ACORN.” What the gentleman is displaying is nothing more that again displaying a lack of knowledge and understanding.
Were he serious about issues, and made the effort to understand them, he would by now have come to the realization that this country has been on an emotional bender for almost three decades, where ‘greed’ and ’self-indulgence’ are the norm. If the gentlman wishes to understand the current state of the financial system (as he believes he already knows, he won’t), and blaming someone (anyone) else is so much easier, he might wish to read a book by John Kenneth Galbraith, released in 1953, The Great Crash. There he will find the reasons for not only that event, but also the current one.
As to taxes themselves. Surprise! Surprise! Nobody likes to pay taxes. The difference is that some of us recognize them as essential, and for many purposes. The gentleman might wish to look in himself in the mirror, not to ‘admire’ himself, as so many do, but ask himself if perhaps he might be wanting all of the benefits yet wants others to pay for them. And, to see such examples, the gentleman need not go to the national level, he need only look in his local community, perhaps even within his own existence. The gentleman might wish to first look at what standard he uses in rendering judgment as to activities of government, which projects are worthwhile, and for which taxes should be allowed. He may find that, and not surprisingly so, that if it is something for him, or what he “wants”, then taxes are just fine. If for someone else, then they are not. So many fall into that category.
When looking at statements made, such as those of the original writer, we see nothing but inveterate whiners. And, in such individuals, we see people who do not recognize any responsibilities and obligations but to themselves. Sadly, having long ago encapsulated themselves in a cocoon of narcississim and self-centeredness, they may no longer be able to change, even if they had the desire to do so, which they do not.
