I’m shocked and dismayed to read how little respect the Palisade peaches get. For all the talk about Palisade peaches I would think they would be held in high regard. Instead it sounds like they are simply slackers who can’t get ripe in time and inconvenience the rest of world as a result.

Perhaps we should celebrate peaches when they are ripe and ready to be celebrated rather than berate them for being tardy. And if someone is a buyer, tell them peaches will be on sale when the peaches are good and ready. All good things are worth waiting for and peaches are no exception. Why not be surprised by the peaches for once and have a festival when the peaches want it since they are the guest of honor. It appears that all those millions of dollars hasn’t bought them any respect or have we just lost our taste.
People of the Grand Valley, it is time to stand for your peaches rather than go to peach stands. Do you love your petulant peaches or not?
