Bernie Buescher deserves to be re-elected to the Colorado House of Representatives for many reasons. Two important ones are less frequently mentioned.

First, he has helped children. He gave 25,000 more Colorado kids the chance to go to preschool and full-day kindergarten. He also gave many more children access to preventive and routine health care.

Second, he has improved the life of Colorado seniors. He helped restore the senior homestead property tax exemption, and he improved funding for old-age pension health care programs.  He also helped lower heating costs for seniors in need through the LEAP program.

The youngest and oldest among us have the least ability to help themselves. Fortunately, they have Bernie Buescher to help them.
