Mesa County Pride

Ron & I believe in being pro or con on an issue. But how is it that some people are so ready to accept negative statements as fact when they are levied against a person? Craig Meis has been the object of such untrue personal attacks and he has shown great character in his positive campaigning for Mesa County Commissioner.

Craig has brought Mesa County millions in severance tax dollars …
because he knows how the tax is determined and worked to get Mesa County its fair share (we have the intense impact and should have the dollars to meet it). Craig knows the importance of energy dollars to Mesa County – not only in jobs, but also in the dollars spent at our stores, restaurants, etc.

Are you ready to do without your comforts (heat … electricity, etc)?? We are not. We do understand that someday we will have alternative energy sources providing all these things. But for now, they aren’t ready for all. We also realize not everyone has the dollars to convert everything in their lives to alternatives. There is life between now and ‘alternatives’.

A conflict of interest? No. The county attorney would have had Craig recuse himself if there were a conflict. Craig works and votes for the people of Mesa County.

At the same time Craig has worked tirelessly to protect the environment
(ask the people who do not have to look at a “rig” in Plateau Valley
everyday).

His understanding of the departmental budgets and preparing for needs
…not ‘borrowing’ (not going into debt) has saved Mesa County taxpayers millions of dollars.

A part-time commissioner? Please. Take a minute to visit Craig and see how hard he works for Mesa County. Try to keep up with him.

It is with great pride that we write in support of Craig Meis.

Make your vote count. Fill in the oval for Craig Meis for County Commissioner.

Well, git ready to swallow that phony pride. Dan Robinson will soon replace the supremely conflicted and oil-basted Meis. Our own little homegrown Dick Cheney, if you will. Mesa County has seen through, and is fed up, with his shenanigans.

Time for real change - VOTE DAN ROBINSON

    That’s true Mesa County Pride

I am at a loss to understand the comment that Commissioner Meis has brought millions of severance tax dollars to Mesa County. How did he do that?

Furthermore, is the author implying that somehow, if Meis isn’t our commissioner, we will not be allowed to use natural gas or that the industry will shut down and we will have to toast our bread over an open fire?

“At the same time Craig has worked tirelessly to protect the environment
(ask the people who do not have to look at a “rig” in Plateau Valley
everyday).” Sorry, but I am incapable of understanding just what the hell this means.

Before Craig Meis ran for county commissioner, he was trotted around Mesa County government by Kathy Hall ( former commissioner and now the “Queen of COGA” ) and introduced as “my man, Craig”. Nothing has changed.

Mesa County needs Dan Robinson to be our commissioner. Dan is an extraordinary man whose compassion, honesty, and intelligence is rarely found in one package. He will bring balance to a commission that has catered to one special interest for far too long.

I’m more interested in hearing what the children of both Meis’, and Rowland’s foster care system have to say. A lot of them are adults now, and a few of them live in my neighborhood. They talk to me about their experiences when their families were subject to the wrath of these people.
Both Rowland, and Meis are bigoted egomaniacs. Neither one is relevent outside Mesa County (thank God).
In my opinion, they’ve done more damage than either one of them will ever know.
