It is apparent that the results of this election will end in a historic manner. Wouldn’t it be nice if the current administration could end in the same sort of historic way? After eight years of failure in trying to lead this great nation, perhaps George Bush could turn over the reins to the new resident early. Immediately would be OK. It would probably be the best thing he’s done since being elected. Twice.

Meanwhile, I have a very good friend whose husband is at an unnamed Army post here in the US. Last night, after the election results were announced, the African American workers in the mess hall refused to serve the white soldiers because now that we have a black president-ELECT they, what? Don’t have to do their job. *And these workers are civilian contracted to the military, not American Soldiers* Also, some rowdy black rioters/protestors/celebrators back East were trying to avoid arrest by saying that now that our next president is a black man, that they can’t get arrested just because they are black. Give me a break. In 24 hours we have already reverted back to a segregationist nation, only now it is opposite. And no, I am not a racist. I work with a couple of very nice, educated, respectable black men who I truly enjoy the company of.

And before anyone accuses me of being a Bush supporter, I voted for John Kerry when I was 18 in my first presidential election. I vote for the candidate I TRUST…not the popular guy.

    Scary !!!
Change may not always come in to good to be true packages…..and I bet in four years, Obama supporters will think so too.
Does “Antichrist” ring any bells with anyone?

singinginthemtns - You said, “Does “Antichrist” ring any bells with anyone?”

The concept of an “Antichrist” is based on mythology and superstition, just like the concept of a supernatural deity (God).

Let us do away with this religious pshychobable garbage (I would like to use another term.) Maybe, just maybe, such individuals should remove their heads from the bible long enough to see what is going on around them. If not, they may like to remember that “God helps those who help themselves”.

Such individuals need to expand their horizons beyond one book and what they get at their church, synagogue, temple, or other place of worship. They might then be able to place things in perspective. If they want to go to those places, they should not leave their “brain” outside when going in, to pick it up on the way out. If there is a “god”, which they claim to believe, he gave them a brain to be used, not to be filled with fantasies and images of “demons” or “sugar plum fairies.”
