Regarding the no-knock raid at 915 Belford Avenue: This house needs to be seized to keep drugs and criminals of our streets and neighborhoods.
This house has been raided and under surveillance by the Grand Junction Police Department for years. Due to the court system and shoddy police work, our neighborhood has been a danger to our elderly residents living in the area and our school kids at the school nearby.
To the city of Grand Junction, code enforcement has been the pits. This house had people living in a motor home, travel trailer and even people sleeping in vehicle’s outside. The house needs to be tested for meth lab.
This house had trash and junk all around the yard.
Shame on landlord Jose Lucero for letting trash into our neighborhood. He knew this was going on for sometime. We get no justice for the financial gain in his pocket.

Arnie Ahkea,
I can’t help to notice your apparent ignorance to some material facts, and I wonder if you have another reason for attacking the City, the police department and Mr. Lucero.
The city is working to get the property cleaned up. everything is not as simple as it may seem to you. The District Attorneys and the police have done a great job in cracking down on meth in our city. Mr. Powell is now in jail.
Mr. Lucero has lost thousands of dollars due to this punk criminal. evictions are not as easy as they seem.
Apparently paying a mortgage on time is not as easy as it seems, which brings me to the reason for your baseless attacks on good people.
Mr Ahkea if you are mad because you lost this house in a foreclosure, you should bark up a different tree.
Maybe you should run for office and serve the community, it seems obvious you are well suited.
