Wednesday, Dec. 17, is the last day to stop by the city of Grand Junction’s open house for the new comprehensive plan at Two Rivers Convention Center. The open house is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Please use  this extraordinary moment to tell the city what kind of riverfront we want. The Colorado River, at the heart of our city, our very reason for existing in this valley, can be a beautiful, quiet, green place, a riparian home for us and wildlife as well as an economic engine with mixed use zoning, accommodating restaurants, housing and businesses – but not industrial or toxic waste businesses.

Please add your voice to the river’s future.
