On a snowy 22nd of December, I met my wife for lunch at a restaurant on the west side of Grand Junction. The place was packed with people. I went shopping after lunch at two different stores. They were full of customers and people were waiting in line at the registers. Where was our local media to report on the fact that the recession was not quite as bad as it should be, and that the nation is going belly up? This should have warranted national attention, also.
