I would like to respond to Carolyn Emanuel’s letter to the editor.
First of all, the money for the habitat of the mouse in California IS in the stimulus. This is well known and published in the Feb 12, edition of The Washington Post this has been a pet project of Nancy Pelosi’s since the early ’90s.
As for the $8 billion for high-speed railroad, it also exists, although the revised bill that was passed does not specify where it will be used. This would be found in section 26106 of title 49 of the U.S. code. There is my source. Where is hers?
I do not listen to Rush Limbaugh. Maybe she should not listen to the likes of Alan Colmes.
Only about $150 billion of the over $800 billion in the stimulus is for infrastructure.
I did not like deficit spending under Bush and I don’t like it anymore just because the party in power has changed. Our markets look forward not back, and by the looks of it, they don’t like what they see coming anymore than I do. They have gone down every time this administration opens up a new plan.
