Earle Mullen states in his letter to the editor of Aug. 20, that since the Pentagon has decided to, rightly so, plan for climate change in strategic planning that is the final nail in the coffin of human caused global warming critics. I beg to differ.
Earle, with his blinders on, is so convinced of human-caused global warming that he failed to closely read the article he referenced. owhere did it state that the Pentagon claims global warming is human caused. Strategic planners are simply looking into the effects of what is obvious and that is that the earth has warmed.
Now, the article written by The New York Times did eventually morph into the predictable, for them, human-caused global warming nonsense. Still, I am surprised that Earle would not more closely read something he is going to reference since he has two physics degrees, 35 years industrial research-and-development work and years in academia and is overqualified to discuss global warming (his description, not mine, Letters, July 9).
Perhaps he is so blinded by the 1 degree Fahrenheit increase in the Earth’s temperature in the past 110 years to note that in the last ten years the temperature has cooled slightly. This as human produced CO2 has steadily increased. Thus, it is probable that humans have nothing to do with the Earth’s temperature.
So, count this careful reader among the skeptics. Human-caused global warming is a hoax and congratulations to the Pentagon for trying to plan for all events, including the ones not caused by humans.

One Response to “Pentagon didn’t confirm human-caused global warming”

Apparently Mr. Coleman read Earle Mullen’s letter about as well as he claims Mr. Mullen read the Pentagon brief.
Nowhere in his letter did Earle Mullen claim the Pentagon confirmed global warming was human caused. Rather, he pointed out that the Pentagon is planning for climate change which he said should end the debate about whether global warming is happening at all.
Believe it or not, there are still those who deny that the earth is warming in the first place.
