How unfortunate that so many parents are choosing fear over hope, yet again. The fact that any citizen would object to having his or her child listen to our president is, quite simply, disgraceful.

All the brouhaha over President Obama’s speech to students clearly demonstrates how this country has their priorities grossly out of order. Can we not separate the message from the messenger? What happened to basic respect?

I challenge parents to take a good hard look at the example they are setting for their kids — encouraging division and promoting anti-government sentiment only serves to breed hate. I’d be way more concerned about that than the non-partisan, motivational words that came from Barack Obama.

Ms. Grandbouche fails to see we as citizens still have the right to decent. I challenge Grandbouche to back and re-read the constitution and the bill of rights. Maybe she also fails to see that parents are choosing fact over lies and substance over style.

Ms. Grandbouche has the audacity to lecture and admonish some in this country for having priorities out of order. Obviously she is another mindless sheep running off a cliff with the rest of the uninformed public who voted for Obama.

Ms. Grandbouche what did happen to respect? Are you referring to the same kind of respect and consideration Obama has given the citizens of this country while he crammed a stimulus bill down our throats without having a time to even read or debate the bill? Or how about the health care reform bill he now trying to cram down our throats mandating that you WILL have health insurance or you will be fined by the government? Or how about appointing the so called Green Czar Van Jones to a top job circumventing the vetting process only to learn he was a communist as well as a convicted criminal thug with a law degree?

As long Obama and the rest of the federal government continue to tread, trample and encroach on our constitutional rights (yes that includes former President Bush as well) then all the well parents should continue to promote anti government sentiment. I challenge Grandbrouche to think critically and try to be independent and respect the constitutional rights of others!

publuisco: “I challenge Grandbrouche to think critically…”

This from the person defending those who restrict their kids from listening to the President’s speech? How can anyone think critically if they don’t see both sides? Is that part of the conservative playbook?

    I think I see the problem…

It is wrong always, everywhere, and for anyone, to believe anything upon insufficient evidence.
