Options for a quick take-out lunch are few and far between in Loma. One notable exception is the taco truck parked in front of the Loma Country Store and Conoco gas station, on Route 139, just off Highway 6.
Tony Sandoval owns both Nathy’s Tacos truck and Nathy’s Mexican Restaurant in Fruita. Sandoval is up early serving breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Saturday from his fully equipped mobile Mexican restaurant.
Sandoval has been a regular at this spot for about three months now. “Our customers are mostly construction workers and ranchers right now,” Sandoval said. “Business has been so-so. It was busier during Country Jam.”
Breakfast burritos and huevos rancheros are on the breakfast menu, and tacos, burritos and “just about anything you want,” are served for lunch.
If you miss him in Loma, you can visit Nathy’s Restuarant in Fruita at 301 Highway 6&50.
