The new Mega Wraps opened Wednesday in the food court of Mesa Mall.
The franchise, based out of Canada, offers soups, salads, paninis and other healthy food options but they are best known for their pita-style wraps.
Pitas are offered in two sizes, stuffed with a large variety of meats, cheeses and vegetables, then rolled like a burrito. The sandwiches are served in a unique paper wrapping with a plastic bottom. The sandwich is pushed up as it is devoured making it a mess-free and convenient on-the-go meal.
“My goal here was to fill a niche in the food court that was missing,” said Jason Stanfield, owner. Stanfield, who also owned Cinnabun, said that Mesa Mall really needed a healthier food option. He chose to close the Cinnabun and open the new Mega Wraps to provide that alternative.
“It was just a perfect fit for us,” Stanfield said.
The wraps are affordable with both meat and vegetarian options.
“I think people are really going to enjoy it,” Stanfield said.

Actually the old place was called Cinnamon Street not Cinnabun and I really didn’t care for their menu to be honest. I think the mall really needs more healthy lunch places in food court so the line at Subway is not always so long. Mega Wraps will be good.

I ate there today and had the best panini I think I have ever had. There were a ton of options and I can’t wait to go back to try the wraps. Veggies all are fresh, and the employees were super friendly. WAaaaaay better than Subway!

I had a veggie/falafel wrap and it was good, but the manager REFUSED to sell me artichoke hearts for my wrap. He said it was against store policy and that the artichoke hearts are only allowed to be sold to PANINI-buying customers. I even offered to pay extra and was not allowed to buy any for my wrap. What a sham. Also the wrap is supposed to be a convenience food and easy to eat. Their wrap required an intricate procedure to remove from the cellophane. Seems kinda weird. Other than that the food was fresh and yummy.
